Workout plans, logged sets, and progress
ChatGPT can inspect your workout templates, completed sessions, per-exercise history, volume, frequency, and the exercise catalog.
Simple Muscle gives ChatGPT permissioned access to your planned workouts and the sessions you actually completed. It can build and adjust the plan while completed history remains read-only.
Available now through a manual remote MCP connection
You need a Simple Muscle account and access to ChatGPT’s Developer mode and custom plugin connection flow. Availability can depend on your ChatGPT plan, workspace, and administrator settings. Setup is completed on ChatGPT web.
The connection uses your normal Simple Muscle sign-in. No API key or separate developer account is required.
https://api.simplemuscle.ai/mcpChatGPT can help plan and analyze training without rewriting what actually happened in the gym.
ChatGPT can inspect your workout templates, completed sessions, per-exercise history, volume, frequency, and the exercise catalog.
It can create a complete multi-day plan, add or remove exercises, and update sets, reps, weight, duration, notes, order, and schedule labels.
What you actually completed stays read-only. ChatGPT can analyze those sessions, but it cannot edit or delete them.
“Create a three-day strength plan for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Use exercises available in Simple Muscle and save the complete plan.”
“Review my completed workouts from the last four weeks. Show my training frequency and where my volume has changed most.”
“Look at my recent bench press history and update next week's target conservatively based on the sets I actually completed.”
The connection opens Simple Muscle’s normal sign-in and grants tools only after you authorize it. ChatGPT never needs your Simple Muscle password.
Create your Simple Muscle account, connect ChatGPT, and keep the plan and the workout log in one place.
